Day 1: Moscow
Arrive in Moscow. Transfer from the airport and check into your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure.

Day 2: Moscow
This morning, enjoy a city tour and explore the world renowned underground city known for its decorated palatial stations. After lunch in a local restaurant, visit the famous Novodevichi Cemetery, which holds the tombs of Russian authors, musicians, playwrights, poets, as well as famous actors, political leaders and scientists. Day 3: Moscow
Start your day with a visit to the world famous Kremlin with its 15th century cathedrals, bell-tower, Patriarch’s Palace, Grand Kremlin Palace and the Armoury Museum, one of the oldest museums in Moscow and home to the Russian Diamond Fund. After lunch, visit the Old Tretyakov Gallery, the first museum dedicated exclusively to Russian fine art. Transfer to the luxurious Volga Dream cruise ship to start your journey along the Russian Waterways. Enjoy Captain’s welcome reception and dinner. [B, L, D]

Day 4: Uglich
Arrive in Uglich, a historic town dating back to the 10th century. Walk through the city’s Golden Ring which includes 17th century Chapel of Dimitry, where Ivan the Terrible killed his 10-year old son. Visit the Transfiguration Cathedral followed by a choral music concert. [B, L, D]

Day 5: Yaroslavl
This morning, visit a World Heritage site and the Volga River’s oldest city, Yaroslavl. Visit Yaroslavl’s famous Church of Elijah and the Prophet and Transfiguration Cathedral. Walk through the local market and take part in a costumed reception at the governor’s house before boarding the cruise ship in time for lunch. [B, L, D]

Day 6: Goritsy
Arrive in the peaceful village of Goritsy and explore the fortress-like Kirillov-Belozersky Monastery and its magnificent frescoes, created by one of the Russia’s most renowned icon painters. Return to the cruise ship for a late lunch. [B, L, D]

Day 7: Kizhi
This afternoon, explore a picturesque island of Kizhy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The open-air Museum of Architecture includes the famous Church of the Transfiguration, a unique onion-domed masterpiece that was shaped with axes and assembled without nails. [B, L, D]

Day 8: Svir River and the Village of Mandrogi
Enjoy beautiful views as the ship sails through Svir River towards beautiful Lake Ladoga, Europe’s largest freshwater lake. Visit the traditional Russian village of Mandrogi to experience daily life in a quaint wooden village. [B, L, D]

Day 9: St. Petersburg
Arrive in St. Petersburg, the city of islands, canals, bridges and palaces. Visit the Peter and Paul Fortress, the oldest building in the city. Proceed to the famous Hermitage Museum, the former home of tsars that contains a collection of more than three million works of art and artifacts from all over the world. [B, L, D]

Day 10: St. Petersburg
After breakfast, visit the Peterhof Palace, St. Petersburg’s most famous and spectacular Imperial estate, also known as the “Versalles of Russia”. Visit an authentic Russian Bathhouse, then stroll in the Lower Park with 176 different fountains, majestic palaces, numerous statues of ancient Gods and heroes. After lunch at a traditional Russian log house restaurant Podvorie return to your hotel. [B, L]

Day 11: St. Petersburg
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight. [B]
