SHORE EXCURSIONS IN ST.PETERSBURG Jewish

Pick up at the sea terminal at 8:00 am; drop off at the sea terminal by 6:00pm. Start your day with a city orientation drive focusing on Jewish history and culture. Visit Grand Choral Synagogue–the second largest in Europe– and meet with representatives of Jewish community of St. Petersburg. Proceed to the Ethnography museum and see the Jewish exhibition of items connected with the history and culture of Russian Jews. Enjoy lunch at the Jewish restaurant Lehaim (not included in tour price). In the afternoon enjoy the beauty of the Savior of the Spilled Blood Cathedral and its multicolored onion domes, extravagant décor and mosaics. Drive to Jewish Cemetery. Opened in 1875, it became the final resting place many prominent Jews. There is also a memorial to the Jews that were murdered during the Holocaust. Drive back to the city center with shopping possibilities enroute. Return transfer to the ship. According to the clients request we can arrange additional evening programs, including theater, restaurants or night excursions.
